Our Story

Salsa del Gringo is co-owned by husband and wife duo Erik and Catherine Stroup.  The idea to start his own salsa company came to Erik in the fall of 2020 after a (COVID locked down) summer of experimenting with different homemade salsa recipes.  However, like most small businesses they take a lot of planning to get started.  In the summer of 2021 Erik filed the official LLC paperwork for Salsa del Gringo, yet all the pieces still hadn't fallen in place.  

Later in 2021 Erik met his future wife, Catherine, who Erik credits as that missing piece.  Not only did Erik find his life partner in Catherine, he found an incredible business partner as well!  In the winter of 2023 Erik and Catherine officially began preparations to make and sell their salsa.  Sales began that summer at Root's Country Market and Auction in Manheim, PA.

Today, Salsa del Gringo has grown to multiple store locations that carry our products!
